God sent me to you

To teach you how to love

You said that you weren’t ready

To learn how to love

I was a human being

With feelings just like you

But you did not think of that

You just thought of you

The pain I felt, you’ll never know

The cries you did not hear

“Momma, please don’t let them kill me”

I cried with pain and fear

And now you think about that day

It makes you want to cry

Momma, I still love you

But can’t help but wonder why.
