Anyone who sees GOD as austere will not serve Him.

When Jesus commands, no one can countermand.

Wisdom is the sole prerogative and property of GOD.

There always comes a point where there is no explanation; a point at which we are shut up to faith.

GOD is pleased when what men see provokes more interest.

Christ is a zero-loss Savior.

Wisdom is known in fellowship.

Past victories do not guarantee future successes.

The salvation of man affects heaven.

Limitation is inherent to pretense.

It is good to know our Savior is the “only wise God.”

The beginning of two different manner of wisdoms was in the garden; each one partakes of the character of its originator.

When a person does not submit their knowledge to GOD, it becomes vain.

We must not hedge up our prayers to protect our unbelief

You have to be discerning in order to tell what is good and what is evil.

One of the areas where an apostate falls down is found in serving one another.

You have to be sensitive of your relationship to the Lord in order for it to mean anything to you.

There are some things in Scripture that are so plain you have to choose to corrupt them.

To know something historically is not to know it doctrinally.

If you love the truth, you will eventually know it.

1. Death is a point of no return. If life is a sentence, death is its period. (9/29)

2. Everyone tabernacling in the flesh must contend with the world. (10/20).

3. As soon as we hear anything that is against God, faith must rise up and refuse to listen. (10/20)

4. I was never satisfied with "unmerited favor" being a definitive description of the grace of God. (11/17)

5. The distance between God and man created by sin created a barrier to the free distribution of Divine favor.

6. Grace had to be brought to us by Jesus. God could not send it without a Mediator. (11/17)

7. Faith gives us access to the grace by which we believed in the first place. (11/17)

8. Anyone who has tasted that the Lord is good is satisfied, but not satiated. (12/1)

9. Without appetites, pleasant things are of no consequence. Without an appetite, one does not press in. (12/1)

10. God is interested in us being interested in Him. (12/1)

11. Until salvation is completed in us, it is changeable. (12/15)

12. Each person is set on a journey with two possible destinies. The one you prepare for is the one you will receive. (12/15)

13.We must get to the point where the first thing that occurs to us in our failure is our relationship to God. (12/15)

14. We are to act upon any inclination toward God. God then gives power to act upon that inclination. (12/15)

15. As long as God is love, love is relevant, for God is love. (12/15)

16. Basically, wherever our heart goes, the rest of us will follow. (12/15)

17. If I am not in the obedience, it is not obedience. (12/15)

18. There are three elements to a call. (1) The one who calls. (2) The message of the call. (3) The ones who are called. (1/12/03)

19. Because God is eternal, nothing He says is irrelevant. (1/12/03)

20. If you want to know what life is, you must think of it in reference to God. (1/12/03)

21. If we can hear, we can have the things whereof we hear. (1/12/03)

22. The word "beloved" is one of the premier effects of salvation. (2/16/03)

23. The "common salvation" is the basis for being "beloved." (2/16/03)

24. The imminent jeopardy of those to whom Jude wrote demanded a different approach. (2/16/03)

25. True discipline is not what God does to us, but what He does for us.

26. Every book of Scripture, if correctly received, is a love letter.

Adam was surrounded by living things, had fellowship with God, and yet was "alone."

God has set in order the process whereby Satan will be destroyed.

Sin tends to spread.

When self is severed from God, sin is the result.

Satan said the eyes of Adam and Eve would be opened. When they were, they had shame and fear.

Adam and Eve's intellect was reduced when they sinned. they should have confessed they had sinned.

Adam and Eve introduced sorrow into this world, and they were partakers of it.

Knowing evil blocked Adam and Eve's access to God and good.

A prideful heart cannot obey God.

The wilderness was a classroom where God was teaching Israel.

True humility can receive what God gives.

Humility is never a mute point with God. God has a response to both pride and humility.

Life is relevant in view of God, not God in view of life.

Without humility, we can take no credit for obedience.

Humility can see the goodness of God. Pride cannot.

Christ subdued His flesh, and can now lead us in doing the same.

We will never tread where the foot of Christ has not trod.

Humility opens the door, and obedience enters in.

Names are integral to knowledge and understanding.

Only God can truly establish a name.

In renaming Abraham, God made a connection between him and Himself.

Your salvation hinges on the accuracy and power of God's name.

All of God's dealings are in harmony with Himself and with each other.

what calling can be higher than to come to god Himself? all other voices are lesser voices.

A valid assembly helps us to enter into the realities declared in Scripture.

We have the responsibility of keeping hole what God has made holy.

The Word of God causes us to see ourselves as we really are.

The heavenly tongue is spoken in human language, but is interpreted to us by the Holy Spirit.

Whenever Christ speaks, there is something that reaches deep within us. His words have power to change us.

The only effectual hearing is the hearing of faith.

By accepting God's deliverance, Israel accepted His authority.

The mind of man cannot conjure up God. he has to be revealed.

God commemorated the perfection of His own work in the Sabbath. there was nothing wanting in creation, so the Lord rested.

We are not to use our tongues as weapons against others.

At Sinai, god seemed threatening and frightening. Therefore the people drew back.

God and silver are like a stop sign to the understanding.

If we are not slow of heart, God will orchestrate things so we can receive a fuller message.

There are people who declare there is no God by their indifference.

People who conform to earthly surroundings have said "There is no God."

God gives us the power to judge ourselves, if we will do it.

Do not be distracted by the delivery of the message.

Your heart will effect your demeanor.

If we fail to hear Christ's call higher, we will lose our way.

When we gather together in Jesus' name, we are in an environment where God's voice is amplified and other voices diminished.

It is wrong for us to be exalted now, for our condition does not call for it.

Humility comes in two packages. We can either humble ourselves, or God will humble us.

When God exalts us, He will be glorified.

Unfortunately, it is common to see a weak and anemic approach to the gathering of the saints.

Everything that is or shall be has been effected by the salvation of God.

The mind is a kind of liaison that can both feed and express the intents of the heart.

When we walk in the counsel of the ungodly, we are feeding our mind on the things of this world.

The mind is the collecting place where things are cooled before being sent to the heart. the heart digests, then sends back to the mind what it likes.

If you do not put the Word of God into your mind, it will not come up magically.

None of us can afford giving the advantage to our flesh.

Your mind will express the intents of whatever is controlling you.

There is a part of you that cannot do good, but it does not have to reign.

You need a renewed mind to work with your renewed heart.

Knowing the Lord is true higher education.

You cannot be saved with an unholy mind.

Schisms in the church are unacceptable. They are always caused by corrupt thought.

You are in a state of flux as long as you are in the world.

There is nothing wrong with making yourself do what is right.

There are doctrines that ignore the effect sin has on the individual.

All sin violates God.

Unless you understand sin, death does not make sense.

Grace retrieves, establishes, and employs.

Everything that is going to pass away was effected by the choice of Adam and Eve.

God cannot be joined to something dead or defiled.

From the fall forward, man has had to struggle with a defiled nature.

I cannot out-want what God is able to give.

The time is fast approaching when we will be taken from shadow land.

As long as we have flesh, pride and humility will be an issue with us.

If you get into a contest with God, you as well advise yourself you are going to lose.

Pride robs us of our strength to serve God.

Obedience is foreign to the carnal nature.

It is impossible to be in the flesh and please God.

There were two times in the history of the world when every living person knew God: at creation and immediately after the flood.

Anything that departs from the person of God departs from the truth.

You will not obey God if you do not trust Him.

It is difficult to think about hope without thinking about faith. In a sense, they are twins.

Faith is the foundation from which hope is cast within the veil.

Like the star of Bethlehem, hope gives us a reason to press forward.

When David was cast down, he recovered by reasoning upon the goodness of God.

What we hope for and who we hope in are inseparably yoked.
