WORRY!“Why, God?”
There are situations that all of us have gone through for which we could not see any logical reason or justice in, at least in our time of trial. At these times it can be especially hard to keep your focus on God, and the temptation to doubt Him can be very strong, depending on how diligent you have been to build your faith while things were going peaceably for you. Many people tend to think that whenever something bad happens to them they are outside of God’s will--somehow, that God is displeased with them and that must be the reason for their suffering. That is not always the case, however.
There is a much larger perspective to all of our circumstances than Satan would have us to be aware of. The devil would blind us so we could not see beyond our trouble. All the reasons for not being able to understand a lot of why hurtful things are happening to you are simply because we cannot see the big picture, as it were. I am afraid that in too many cases the feeling of helplessness, and the lack of understanding that often come with tribulation, bring many to become angered at God. At the point that one places fault on God for their misfortune or pain, he is not willing to accept the truth of why he is going through his trials.
It is an evil thing to become angry at God! He does not take such wickedness lightly, by any sense of the word. Therefore, neither should man! God has always been perfect and just in all things.The Lord has had much mercy and grace toward man. If God was not exactly as He says He is, man would have been wiped from the earth a long time ago. God knows what He is doing, even when man doesn't.
God’s reasoning goes much farther and deeper than man could ever imagine. And you will find that the closer you come to God, the more you will see things from His perspective--the right perspective.
When temptation and hurtful circumstances come your way, trusting in the Lord and His sovereignty will allow God to draw you closer to His side. For that reason, sometimes the Father does not show us why we are being put through certain trials, until the pain is past. We must always trust Him in all things. Our faith in Christ Jesus is vital at all times, whether or not you are going through any particular trial. He has promised that all things will work together for our good. That is, "to the good of those who love him and are called according to His purpose." And because He has said it, we know that He will never leave us or forsake us.
Another source of encouragement and strength for the saints is the knowledge that we will know everything in full when we reach Heaven. All the things we cannot see now, we will understand then. There are times when we feel loneliness or depression, and we do not always know why we are feeling weighted down. You may experience the feeling of being oppressed by Satan in your spirit. But the will of God is for you to hold to your faith, no matter what the situation, so that He can indwell in you more richly. Keeping your faith and focus on God will keep you from sin.
The Children of God will never be entirely rid of hurt, suffering, and temptation until they are at Home with their Father. But until then we must build up our faith, along with one others, so that we may be strong. God will reveal to a good and sincere heart what it needs to know, and He will keep those who love Him. "Trust in Him at all times; ye people pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us. Selah" Psalms 62:8
